Lavender Soap Jellies

Soap jellies bounce and jiggle all while cleaning your skin. Have a favorite liquid soap, try using that! Today we used a deliciously smelling (and calming) lavender body wash.

Little ones love taking a bath with soap jellies. The lavender scent of these are perfect just before bedtime!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of gelatin (found in the baking isle at the grocery store)
  • 2/3 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup of lavender scented liquid soap. We used this lavender body wash by Dial found HERE

Supplies Needed to Make Soap Jellies

  • Measuring cups
  • Mixing spoons
  • Small mixing bowl

Lavender soap jellies wash away bacteria and moisturize all at the same time. Squeeze them, squish them, or watch them gently wobble. There’s no wrong way to use soap jellies!

These would be fun to make for a craft night, a sleepover, or as gifts.

You Will Need

  • 1 package of gelatin (found in the baking isle at the grocery store)
  • 2/3 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup of lavender scented liquid soap. We used this lavender body wash by dial
  • Measuring cups
  • Mixing spoons
  • Small mixing bowl

Shop the supplies below:

Directions

  1. Add 2/3 cup of boiling hot water to a mixing bowl
  2. Add the packet of gelatin and stir until the gelatin powder is completely dissolved
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup of lavender scented liquid soap and stir until the ingredients are completely combined
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray
  5. Let it set for 3 hours until firm (or 1.5 hours in the refrigerator for quicker results)
  6. Use with water on hands or body, depending on the type of liquid soap chosen
  7. Just like regular Jello, these jellies will melt if they are left out of the refrigerator. So, we recommend keeping them chilled:)

*Soap cubes can be cut into smaller pieces if desired!
