Valentine’s Day Room Ideas | Decoholic

Valentine’s Day is approaching, and if you plan to spend romantic moments at home with your partner, you must decorate the room. Valentine’s Day is an ideal opportunity to bring extra charm to your living space with a small investment and pleasantly surprise your partner.

Image: Lynn

Decorating Valentine’s Day room is simple and requires little material and imagination. In this post, we will talk about Valentine’s day room ideas. You can easily decorate any room for Valentine’s Day and create a romantic atmosphere.

Image: Amy Detrick / Tonality Designs

To decorate your Valentine’s Day room, be inspired by the different ideas we bring to you below:

  • Use pink, red, and white in Valentine’s day room decorating. Hearts are always a hit when it comes to Valentine’s Day, and with love letters, you won’t go wrong. You can make pink, white, and red paper hearts and decorate the room with colorful ribbons. Arrange red, pink, or yellow vases with tulips, lilies, or orchids at key locations in the room;
  • The simplest way to decorate your Valentine’s Day room is with heart-shaped elements and details to place on your bed or around the room. Make a wreath of paper and decorate a window, wall, or table. Rose petals are also an interesting detail that brings romance and tenderness to the setting;
  • If you want a more intimate atmosphere, place white and red candles of different sizes throughout the room, paying particular attention to the position of mirrors that can further enhance the candlelight effect. Therefore, candles should be placed parallel to the mirrors as this will duplicate the effect. You can even surround the bed with flowers, candles, put a bottle of wine, or champagne and a few glasses. The candles will create the most intimate atmosphere possible;
  • Handmade table decorations and imaginative color combinations can also be very effective details in decorating a space, especially a table. Use pastel shades of pink, purple, and yellow to create a romantic atmosphere. For lovers of chic details and elegance, we recommend decorating the table in black, red, and white;
  • If you want a romantic and gentle atmosphere in your Valentine’s Room, be creative. If you want to enhance the impression, frame your favorite shared heart-shaped photos and place them around the room;
  • Put pillows with love motives on the bed in the room. Whether you use hearts or pillows with interesting lettering, they will bring Valentine’s Day love decor to your room. Heart-shaped pillows in pink, red or white can also be a great decoration. Decorate your cob with rose petals, apples, strawberries, or chocolates wrapped in red and pink ribbons. These small details will make an impression;
  • You can make a list of your favorite songs (the ones you both love), and that reminds you of your shared memories. And of course, the most important thing is to prepare a beautiful and original gift for your loved one. If your partner is an adventurous spirit, the dance course may be one of the more original gifts he has ever received.

15 Creative DIY Valentines for Kids

Ever since we were kids, we’ve loved the Valentine’s Day tradition of giving everyone in the class a little card to let them know they’re appreciated. Each year, we used to spend hours writing the names of all the kids in our class on cute, gimmicky little cards filled with hearts and silly love puns.

Now that we’re adults, we help our kids do it, but you can probably guess the difference between the ones we handed out then and the ones we help our kids with now: elevated crafting skills.

Check out these absolutely adorable DIY Valentine’s Day cards that are perfect for creating with your kids and probably a little more unique than the rest of the cards the kids in their classes will find on their desks on the morning of February 14th.

1. Tootsie pop butterflies

VIEW IN GALLERYTootsie pop butterflies 15 Creative DIY Valentines for Kids

We love how many different kinds of candy are available in bulk around Valentine’s Day, even though Halloween still takes the cake when it comes to sweet seasons. That’s part of the reason we love the idea of actually make a kids’ Valentine out of candy! Eat, Craft, Parent guides you through the process of transforming a Tootsie Roll lollypop into a butterfly thanks to a couple of paper wings.

2. Curly paper hearts

VIEW IN GALLERYCurly paper hearts 15 Creative DIY Valentines for Kids

These curly little paper hearts look adorable as a garland like How About Orange has them here, but you can also use that same technique to make just the hearts themselves and then glue them to the front of cute construction paper Valentine’s Day cards! The kids they give them to will love how textured and 3D their cards are.

3. Tootsie pop roses

Did you love the idea of making a Valentine out of Tootsie Pops but your kids gave out butterfly themed cards last year? Then here’s an alternative idea from Skip to My Lou! Woo Home‘s baggy Valentines turned out adorable and yours will too!

See the idea in more detail on Urban Comfort.

15. Cupid’s arrow Valentines

Creative DIY Paper Plate Lampshade (Tutorial)

Today we’re experiencing turning a classic cylindrical lampshade that looks boring into this cool-looking paper plate lampshade that you could put in your bedroom or living room. How you may ask? By adding 50 paper plates, here’s how you do it.

VIEW IN GALLERYpaper plates lampshade F Creative DIY Paper Plate Lampshade (Tutorial)

What you will need:

To do this first you have to mark 2 lines in the middle of a paper plate, leaving a distance of about 1 cm. Crease this plate along the lines. Then mark lines on yet another paper plate in an identical way.

Reduce the second paper plate along the lines. Now glue this semi-circle plate to the half of the first creased plate. Repeat these measures with yet another creased plate and semi-circle plate and put together far more.

Glue the first plate to the lampshade. Glue the second plate to the lampshade and join the plates with each other. Repeat this phase right up until all the lampshade is covered.

How do you like your DIY paper plate lampshade now? Enjoy crafting!
